I graduated in June 2024 with a 2.1 in History from the University of Aberdeen, and I am currently studying for an MLitt in Scottish Heritage with the University of Aberdeen. I also volunteer at the University of Aberdeen Collections and have previously volunteered for the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire Council Archives.

Tutoring Experience

My main body of knowledge is in Scottish history, especially from the late eighteenth to early twentieth centuries (around 1920s latest). I also have some knowledge on the Scottish Wars of Independence and the early Stewart Dynasty (James I and II of Scotland). This is from a mixture of the history I have studied at university, my volunteering experience, and my own personal interests.

Tutoring Approach

For all students, my main approach will be in boosting the base of knowledge in the areas of Scottish history I mentioned above. For university students especially, I will use my archive experience to offer advice on those struggling to find primary sources for their university assessments and dissertations.
