Tutoring Experience
I have 15 years of tutoring experience on a one-to-one basis and with small groups within schools. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language for three years in South Korea. My experience includes 11+ English, KS3, GCSE and the IELTS exam. I have extensive knowledge of the main GCSE syllabuses including AQA, Edexcel and IGCSE. I have worked as an alternative provision tutor for 12 years and this has given me extensive experience of teaching students with special needs.
Tutoring Approach
I am a friendly, approachable and reliable tutor who has high expectations of her students. I set homework on a weekly basis and this helps to consolidate the skills learnt in the lesson and contributes to improved levels and grades. I have a high success rate whereby all students achieved levels 6-9 in their English GCSE exams.
