Henrietta

Hi! My name is Henrietta and I am a 27 year old teacher living in Wokingham. I have a friendly and approachable nature which my previous tutees and pupils at school have found helpful when coming to me for support. I have been teaching full time for almost three years, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and working at a secondary school teaching Science. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends, painting, swimming and have recently taken up guitar lessons!

Tutoring Experience

I have over two years full time teaching experience but have also been tutoring since I was 17. Most recently I have tutored two year 11 students weekly, and am reliable. I was most proud of their improvement in confidence with Science and Maths, alongside the improvement in their grades and knowledge of the subjects. My tutoring preference is usually students with target grades between 1-6 as this is where my strengths lie to ensure tutees get the most out of their sessions.

Tutoring Approach

As a full time teacher, I have a range of resources and approaches to draw on when creating individualised sessions for tutoring. I would be happy to discuss how I can best support you with tuition, to ensure you get the support you need at the right level for you. As a friendly, caring and approachable person, my hope is that tutees feel comfortable to direct the sessions in a way which will best provide for their needs. Each session would be personalised, and I will ensure that the content is pitched at the right level for you. I offer a fun way to learn, whilst also getting down to the point and getting the job done without messing about! My enthusiasm helps enthuse my students. I am patient and willing to explain things as many times as is necessary until the subject or topic is fully understood.
