I completed my Undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge reading Mathematics a few years ago and have been teaching since. I achieved A*s in my Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry A Levels at a leading state grammar school and achieved 13 A*s at GCSE.
I have considerable tutoring experience, having tutored over 120 students of varying ability over the past ten years. I've covered maths, physics and chemistry from KS3 up to entrance exam level, helping students with their MAT and STEP exams, with my students going on to enjoy success. For example my students have achieved an A* in A Level Further Maths, A* in Chemistry GCSE and a 9 in their maths GCSE. On average, my students improved upon their predicted grades by one or two grades. For more information, please feel free to read my reviews.
Students learn best from someone passionate about the subject they are trying to learn. I am incredibly passionate about the subjects I'm studying / teaching and strive to simplify topics to make them clear and easy to understand. As a recent student, I have experience of learning the topics I am teaching and this gives me a unique ability to assess how best to impart this knowledge. Often my ability to view a challenging topic from a pupil's perspective makes an explanation easier to understand than one coming from a teacher, for example.
