Henry's Feedback

Henry is an exceptional maths tutor. My son has had lessons with Henry since year 8, and has just completed year 10. He is amongst the top maths students in his year, having started towards the bottom. My son looks forward to his session each week, and considers Henry something of a role model. I can’t recommend Henry highly enough!

Henry is an insightful and highly educational tutor, who goes the extra mile in providing his students what they require. By providing excellent practice problems and also focusing on the logic behind, he gives students the competence they need, and then some.

Henry has tutored my son for about a year for Maths A-levels. My son says that Henry is very good at explaining complicated mathematical concepts and as a result my son can tackle hard/tricky questions well. I have found Henry to be very reliable, informative and can honestly say that he has kept me informed of my son's progress at every stage and really supported my son.

In a nutshell, Henry is a very good teacher and gets results. My child got an A* in his recent mocks and got the predicted grade he needed.

There are few superlatives that truly represent how good Henry is as a tutor. My son had suffered panic attacks so we urgently sorted out support for him as
A level exams were looming.

Henry rose to the challenge and through making himself available and prioritising the topics, my son's confidence grew enormously from the very first lesson. He actually learned the topics from base level up to the required level, in some cases, with Henry because his confidence had been knocked so badly. Even the toughest topics brought a smile to his face as he realised that he could handle any questions.
Henry was patient and kind and we felt he went the extra mile when our son's calculator was different to Henry's, the very next day Henry had grasped the layout and functions for my son's calculator. I don't know why they would be so different but it was slowing up the lesson and Henry's proactive response amazed us all.
I cannot thank Henry enough or praise him too highly. This young man knows his stuff and he knows how to communicate it!

Excellent tutor - my child has learnt a lot in terms of how to approach difficult GCSE questions (mainly Science subjects) and they cover a lot of material in an hour. She is genuinely enthusiastic about her lessons with Henry and she can’t praise him enough

Henry has been an excellent tutor for my son since the end of November 2020. I had received my son’s AP results and was shocked. Though I was aware of him missing valuable teaching time under the pandemic, I thought my son would be ok as he is a bright boy. Yet, I was naïve and he needed help. His maths grade had stagnated at a level 5. Facing 6th form exams in December and GCSEs ahead, I had to find the best teacher who could help him to get back on track within a relatively short time period. I cannot thank Henry enough for his invaluable support.

Henry is very quick at communicating and always on time for lessons. He uses skype along with Miro software to use as a whiteboard, which I find extremely helpful. My son often goes back to Miro for his revision as it stores all the lessons. His way of teaching is not just giving knowledge. He encourages my son to think and find a thread to solve problems. In this way he captures his attention and interest. Henry is very organised and efficient in his teaching. In order to prepare for my son’s 6th form college Maths exam, he prepared all the past papers from various colleges and covered each paper with in an hour. In fact after 11 lessons, my son was ready for entrance exam and thanks to Henry, he passed! And after another 10 lessons, my son is now an extremely strong position for his internal school exams. I am amazed at the speedy progress. They are now focusing on physics. Above all the strength and merits, Henry is very understanding and knows the stress and burden of young boys so Henry makes him feel comfortable during lessons. I am so thankful for him that my son is well looked after until he finishes his GCSEs. Crisis under the pandemic has now become an opportunity for my son to excel, thanks to Henry. I highly recommend Henry as a maths and physics tutor.

Henry has been a great tutor for my daughter with her Physics for her GCSEs. My daughter has progressed a lot with Henry. He is very understanding, very supportive & has been great online. He is always on time and his lessons are well organised. I will highly recommend Henry as an outstanding Tutor, he goes through the subject with patience and thoughtful understanding.

Henry is a well-organised, responsible and communicative tutor. He has helped my son with Maths, Physics and Chemistry since September 2020. He plans and delivers the lessons in a professional manner. He engages my teenage boy effectively. He motives my son to go for various challenges and develops his rigour in academic studies. My son has improved his Maths, Physics and Chemistry since Henry became the tutor - I believe that my son will achieve much higher in the long run, as we have had Henry for only a few months now. What impresses me most is Henry's Mathematician style of working, behaving and communicating. I can see that he has already served as a role model for my son. Henry was a fantastic tutor with comprehensive knowledge of not only the A-Level syllabus, but also the content required to sit MAT/STEP for admissions into maths course. He understood our needs well and was able to provided targeted support and helped out immensely with not only maths skills in general, but also the university admissions process.

My daughter in Year 11 has struggled with specific Maths topics such as graphs, circle theorums, and polygons. I wanted to find a tutor with capability and awareness of the current GCSE syllabus. Lucky for us we found Henry’s profile and got in touch. His approachable, calm and clear style, and excellent knowledge, has already had an impact and I can see a renewed confidence in my daughter. Henry has been helping my daughter with a very specific issue she had with mechanics for a Further Maths paper. He has really helped her to understand the concepts she has been struggling with, making her feel at ease, and going out of his way to sort out solutions to tricky problems.
