I am a first year medical student, and I enjoy ice skating in my free time. Drawing is a hobby of mine, although I wouldn't necessarily say I am very good! I also love watching films, anything with a plot twist, and I am also an avid reader, especially crime novels.
I have a lot of experience in tutoring students, of different capabilities. When I was in sixth form, I taught GCSE students both Biology and Chemistry, and all of my students achieved grades between 7-9. Over the last summer, I volunteered my time to tutor GCSE students who had been considerably held back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. I also did sessions with the A-Level students, teaching them how to best revise Biology, Psychology and Chemistry.
My teaching methods are very personalised, as I prefer to moderate how I teach, in order to match how my students learn. If my students would like a more interactive approach of us going through content together, or maybe they would prefer practicing exam questions, then I am capable of doing so. With either method, I think the main focus should be that the lessons are student-driven. I would teach to the best of my ability. I plan to use a combination of my experiences, my knowledge, and the lessons I have learned, to help my students the best way I know how.
