English and French Lessons in Malvern

I am a fluent Spanish and French speaker who has extensive experience of teaching Spanish and French GCSE. Enthusiastic, patient, and a qualified teacher with 15 years’ of teaching Spanish, French and English language; I will tailor your lessons to fit your learning needs – be it for Spanish ‘A’ level or for the French speaking component at GCSE; or it could be general revision. And, being a life-long language learner myself, though regular travel to France, as well as having lived in Spain, I completely understand the linguistic issues that a student can experience.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced and competent teacher of Spanish to ‘A’ Level and French to GCSE, as well as English Language and Literature to GSCE (including the new specification). I have been teaching for around 15 years in mainstream education and know the GCSE requirements for French, Spanish and English, as well the requirements for A Level Spanish. Additionally, I regularly tutor French, Spanish and English students to GCSE for the three language as well as students to A level in Spanish. Therefore, I have in-depth knowledge and experience of the AQA and Edexcel syllabus. Recently, I also helped a native speaker with revision for the CIE IGCE and am acquainted with teaching native speakers.
I also taught English as a Foreign Language abroad.
Recently, I have been charged with classes who need extra help so they can sit the new GCSE French examination in Year 11. Many of these students had not studied French before and needed an express, intensive, tailored course, which I designed.

Tutoring Approach

I moved over to online teaching during the lock down so can do classes all over the country, however, I also do more local students at home.
All materials for online classes are sent out in advance and I am very willing to assist students getting online through Zoom and Google Meets. You have a complete record of the work we are covering, and any issues can be resolved very quickly. If I write on a powerpoint during a lesson, then I send you the notes. It is very easy to learn on line.
Part of my role is to guide students through the examination specifications and to help with developing exam strategies and practicing the skills needed to achieve at ‘A’ level and GCSE.
