Hi, I’m Holly. I’m an Oxford University graduate (2020) with a Masters in Chemistry. I have tutored students of all ages since 2016 for their maths/science exams and this helped me to support myself as a university student. After graduation, I worked as an Investment Banker for 3 years but have now returned to tutoring full time, whilst also working as a yoga instructor.
I tutor students of all ages in Science and Maths, and also provide support with university applications (including Oxbridge) where appropriate.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 7 years of tutoring / teaching experience and have tutored both online and in person.
Throughout this time, I have also mentored students applying to a variety of university courses, including Oxbridge and medicine.

Tutoring Approach

I like to link my sessions to the student's classes in school, particularly focusing on what the student has found difficult. I will typically go through these topics using my own techniques/approach to cement the student's knowledge and improve their confidence. I will often work through exam questions as knowledge application is often where students struggle the most. I can set homework (typically exam questions) if the student/parent wishes, but I will otherwise test the student’s ability throughout sessions to check the topic has been understood before moving on.
I like to use a visual approach with diagrams to explain concepts. I encourage questions and ask questions myself to consolidate learning.
