About Me
I am a trainee astrophysicist with special interest in the very distant and ancient universe researching for my PhD at the University of Manchester. As a tutor, I aim to share my interests in science and mathematics (and help pay the bills along the way!).

Harking back to my own GCSEs, I remember the absolute shock-horror of my first mock exam results. I practically gave up and resigned myself to a burger-flipping career right then. But an inspiring and kind physics teacher sat me down and told me that anyone can do anything they like, as long as they don't get trapped by their own ceilings. I want to instil the same confidence in my own tutees.

I achieved all A*-B grades in my own GCSEs and now study the universe.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored a range of levels since starting in 2015. During this time, I have developed many educational resources and skills in helping students of many different abilities. I have also developed excellent skills in customer relations.

Tutoring Approach

Meeting the student where they are at. For example, a recent student, Maya, is used to excelling in her other subjects but is finding astronomy tricky. Drawing on her natural curiosity and skills with maths, I am sharing my love of science to deliver lessons: with practical elements (e.g. we made our own model showing Earth's oblate spherical shape), which are research-informed, and animated. Overall, these elements constitute to an engaging and informative tutelage.
