I am a chemistry lecturer with over 40 years experience. I have taught the subject in schools colleges and at Kingston University. I am happy to tutor up to A level and equivalent courses. My approach is always student centered and tailored to the specific student requirements. I have a large amount of material and use many modern and interactive internet sites to enhance my teaching. I now prefer as much as possible to tutor at my house. However, I also have a Zoom pro account and am happy to tutor this way. I can use the interactive white board to facilitate interaction with students.
At present I have availability most times during the week. I have included 2 miles as my travel distance, but parking access would be needed. If payment is required for parking the fees are payable by the student. For distances over 3 miles travel costs can be negotiated.
I am happy also to tutor here at my home near Kingston. We live very close to an overground station and the 281 and 285 bus routes.
I always bring my University and college ID's to any initial tutorial to show who I am and my genuine credentials
43 years teaching and lecturing in schools colleges and Kingston University. For the last 23 years I've been teaching Chemistry at Richmond College then Kingston College then the University. I ran the Foundation Science Chemistry component. I've taught A/S + A level chemistry in all the exam boards as well as IB. I have run Access courses also Btech and AVCE in chemistry and am happy to help with any vocational course content and presentations. For five years I was a part time lecturer at the University of East London. I am now only tutoring privately from home.
Student centered, I work to the individual needs of the student. I have years of resources available and use up to date online programs and materials for a very visual and interactive learning approach. I am currently tutoring on all exam boards. I am happy to set up a Zoom or Teams meeting to discuss tuition free of charge. To enable potential students the opportunity to get to know my approach.
