I am an Economics and Geography teacher with over 20 years experience of teaching students at both A-Level and GCSE level. My students consistently make outstanding progress, and achieve high grades. I have extensive experience of preparing students to be successful in their examinations, and developing in them the depth of knowledge and understanding required to achieve their full potential.
I am a qualified and experienced teacher of Geography and Economics, and have worked in secondary schools for over 20 years. I have served as a Head of Department, Deputy Headteacher responsible for quality of provision and examiner for an awarding body.
I believe that confidence and self-belief form a key part of success at GCSE and A-Level, and my tutoring style focuses on developing this through thorough preparation of appropriate case studies and ensuring students have a clear understanding of exactly what is required to maximise performance in their examinations.
I support students to revise effectively, and focus on developing the necessary academic skills to be able to apply knowledge and understanding in the examinations. I achieve this through carefully planned tutorial activities which focus on purposeful active learning to consolidate and build on existing knowledge and understanding, and to strengthen examination technique.
