I am a distinction-awarded (top 10%) second year medical student at the University of Oxford looking to guide younger students in GCSE/A-Level Biology as well as the BMAT/UCAT. I offer online one-to-one tutoring using an interactive approach to help all students learn the skills they require to succeed!

Tutoring Experience

I have previous experience in tutoring for medical school applications - I have tutored family friends, with many getting into medical schools such as Imperial. I have also tutored my peers voluntarily in the UCAT/BMAT/A-levels and GCSEs, as well as helping them with their personal statements and interviews during Sixth Form.

Tutoring Approach

Usually I start by finding out topics that have been covered in class, emphasising if there are any areas of concern. I will then form an outline of the next few lessons to target these key areas. Throughout our lessons, I aim to make students feel comfortable enough to ask questions about any topics they are struggling with. From this, we can then arrange further focused sessions on those topics, allowing the student to perform to the best of their ability in all topics!

If an exam is being taken then I would tailor my lessons towards the specification of the exam board so that they are more suitable for the student’s needs.
