Hi, I am a PhD student in the faculty of Engineering and informatics, and I am dedicated to improving myself and those around me. I relish the opportunity of investing in human resources because knowledge is a powerful tool. Teaching allows me enrich the academic skills of the young ones and also develop my basic teaching initiatives. I am an open person that welcomes new challenges and I always strive to meet and exceed expectations of myself and those around me.
I taught approximately 150 students mathematics at different class levels ranging from 11 to 16 years of age via online and in person. I have prepared students for high level exams such as the west African exam, GCSE and A levels exams. I also tutor students during the holidays at tutoring establishments and at tutee's home for private lessons on request.
First, earning the student's trust is a priority. Then, I will be meticulous in dealing individual students getting them prepared using fast track methods for solving difficult problems such as word problems, trigonometry and algebra. I will assess them by handing out home works and practice questions to test them. Towards the end of the term line, I will ensure that every module required in the curriculum is covered and make revision a priority which in turn will set them up for good grades.
