Hi,
My name is Isabelle Heuzé. I am an Irish / French PhD student at UCL. I got my degree in Maths and Physics from Trinity College Dublin in 2023.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring Maths, Physics, and French since 2019. I also have experience in marking papers in these subjects. So I have learned where students generally tend to struggle, as well as common mistakes / slip ups.
My family is French and so I speak French to a native level. This helps with creating a more relaxed attitude to the French language, making it seem like less of a daunting task to learn.

Tutoring Approach

I try to make my French lessons as immersive as possible but tailor it to the student’s level of understanding.
With Maths and Physics, I think the best way to learn is to attempt questions, make mistakes, correct them, and then redo the questions. This helps students pinpoint their own difficulties and teach them what to look out for.
