I'm Izzy, a final year student who has just finished their medical degree and will be starting work as a doctor in London in August. I studied the IB at Sevenoaks School, achieving 44 out of the maximum 45 points and I have completed medical school with 87% overall. I enjoy all things medicine, chemistry and biology and I am passionate about passing on my knowledge in a clear and concise way.
I have had extensive experience throughout medical school teaching younger years both knowledge and practical skills. I additionally volunteer for the Phoenix Project charity where I help refugee doctors learn English. As well as being extremely rewarding, this has really helped refine my tutoring technique and explanation skills.
I strive to create a friendly, relaxed and focused teaching environment. I tend to focus on learning via example questions but I am very flexible and can adapt to the needs of each student. Throughout many years of studying I have coalesced many useful medicine/ biology / chemistry resources and I am able to signpost students to these as well as help create study plans in order to maintain students' productivity outside of tutoring sessions.
