I am a qualified Music teacher with QTS, professional singer, and I specialise in vocal health and voice disorders. I am currently a freelance educator and choral animateur with three county services, and I am looking to tutor more on a one-to-one basis as my freelance work continues to evolve!
I studied for my BA (Hons) Music at Newcastle University, graduating with a 2:1 with a major in vocal performance studies. I went on to study for my PGCE with QTS in London at UCL Institute of Education, training at schools in Harrow and Wembley. I have since moved to the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border with my partner, also a musician and PhD researcher in Geology, and teach primary and secondary locally. I have performed and led outreach activities with a range of vocal groups such as Voces8 and Genesis Sixteen, and currently teach and perform with Derby Cathedral Choir.

I take a relaxed but driven approach to online tutoring, fully aware that the past year has impacted all students differently. I am able to adapt tutoring to best meet the individual needs of the student, and am happy to discuss goals and aims to agree a personalised tutoring plan.
