I love to teach and I am committed to ensuring my students understand what they are learning, helping them apply their knowledge to different scenarios. I have a very patient, calm, and interactive style of teaching and I tailor my method of teaching and teaching material to each individual student, all of which is reflected in my reviews, written by students and parents (please have a read).
I have excellent knowledge of the numerous exams boards and different types of school curriculum. I can provide a list of topics for the term/year and a copy of your/your child's specific syllabus, tailoring my lessons accordingly to ensure all topics that may come up in the exam have been taught, working through lots of practice questions so they are well prepared and confident going into the exam.
My approach is always tailored to the student and initially I ask both students and parents if there are any specific areas they would like to focus on. Working through the syllabus ensures all topics are covered and allows me to gain an insight into any difficulties which may need to be addressed/focused on. Topics are explained to students with the use of my own notes and books specific to students’ exam board.
I create numerous questions and exercises, similar to questions they can expect in the exam, to ensure they understand what they have been taught and can apply their knowledge to varied scenarios/questions. I also provide workbooks/quizzes that students can work on during their free time, if requested.
Finally, I help students with timing and exam technique, helping them to overcome their nerves through practise and tips I have picked up from my years of experience and from the feedback I have received from my students.
I look forward to teaching you!
