Hello and welcome to FirstTutors. My name's Izzy and I am an experienced ESL teacher from the UK. I use Zoom to teach English online. I teach all levels and all age groups.

Tutoring Experience

I hold a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, and A-Levels in Creative Writing, Photography and Media Studies. I have been teaching both ESL and GCSE English online since 2020 and teach in-person classes at a local summer school here in the UK. I teach both adults and children. I am currently undergoing a CELTA and will have my qualification by the end of March 2025.

Tutoring Approach

I am dedicated and passionate about helping students develop proficiency in English. With a focus on student-centered learning, I customise my lessons to meet the individual needs and goals of each student. My approach to teaching is patient and understanding, which helps to foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I encourage student participation and provide constructive feedback and guidance. Our first meeting will enable me to structure lessons according to your individual learning needs to maximise your learning.
