Online French and Spanish Lessons

Connecting people, places, experiences and time is what I am about.

I am a highly engaging educator and international professional who loves mentoring and coaching people to navigate life's labyrinth. I am extremely passionate about understanding a person as a human being and then tailor-making a plan to help them achieve their goals.

I have a love for travel and experiences (I have set foot in 40 countries and over half of the US states!), and my passion for languages has landed me plenty of opportunities to explore the world and my place in it. I love French and Spanish, but I also love sport (particularly rugby), coffee and good food.

Above all, I believe that life is about having great experiences in great places, and spending a lot of time with great people too!

Tutoring Experience

I have over a decade of teaching experience in three different countries: the UK, Australia and the USA. Now I am back in the UK and looking to make learning more personal and bespoke.

I have taught or coached many subjects, mainly French and Spanish, but I have also taught Drama, Religion and Ethics and P.E. I have coached cricket, tennis, rugby, netball, football and American football. Most of all, I have served as a mentor to assist my students with the challenges of navigating the ever-changing world they find themselves in.

Tutoring Approach

I structure lessons with clear objectives and a variety of activities, ending in a plenary activity that checks for comprehension through questioning, demonstration and creation. I use a variety of resources and have plenty of those resources ready to go!

Fundamentally though, teaching is about relationships. I want to get to know the person along the way and as soon as possible, which will then enable me to make a specialised plan that helps people achieve their goals.

Once I know my student, our joint progress will accelerate, because knowing who you are and what you want allows me to help you get there faster.
