Hello, I am Jack Samuel, I am a freelance tutor and coach based in London. I offer tuition on any humanities subject, but my experience is in languages, English as a foreign language and also French and Italian. I also have good knowledge of German and Spanish. My teaching can encompass grammar, speaking and confident communication, depending on the needs of the student. Tutoring Experience

I have lived in 5 different countries and travelled to more than 50 of them worldwide. I have lived in France and Italy and done Erasmus placements and also worked for the British Council. I have taught adolescents in a French Lycée not far from Lyon, I also taught grown ups in a community centre near Milan. I have also tutored my teenage cousins. I also have a decade of corporate experience across several countries.

Tutoring Approach

I work with people of all ages and backgrounds. Teaching should be a two way street, it is about respect and communication. Young people deserve those who listen to them and help guide them through the tripwires of academia and the real world. My key values are trust, integrity and resilience. Life throws us some spanners and tricky moments and having a good tutor to help make sense of these challenges is a real game-changer. I think having a coach or mentor is so incredibly helpful to have our head in the game and to work on focus and frank but positive discussions about how things can materialise for the future. We have to go and build it ourselves but having a guide is often invaluable.
