Hi I'm Jack, and I'm currently studying Politics and International Relations at Cambridge University, having also studied History in my first year. Before this I previously completed A levels in History, Politics and Geography achieving A*s in all three subjects.

I know what its like to be in your position having sat my A Levels and GCSEs only a few years ago and hope to be able to help your child get the best grades possible ensuring they can mature into the next stage of their lives as they so wish.

I have years of experience working with students to develop their understanding of topics and essay craft, having frequently brought students working at a C/D level up to A/A*. Whilst mainly tutoring History, Politics and Geography I can also provide tutoring in Oxbridge admissions.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for over two years now across the humanities from ages 12 up to A Level. I have a strong track record of bringing students up from Cs/4s up to A*s/9s. I am particularly experienced in enhancing pupils essay technique and argumentation ability.

Tutoring Approach

I can provide specialised sessions with students developing both knowledge and essay skills. I believe it's important to take a holistic approach to tutoring, curating sessions specific to students strengths and weaknesses. I place content into exam based scenarios through discussion, debate, and essay plans. I believe that sessions should be engaging and genuinely interest the student to ensure the most effective use of time. Having recently been a student myself I can provide up to date advice, first hand tips, alongside essay plans and resources based on current specifications.
