I graduated university in a Science subject with a 1st Class degree. I am an enthusiastic individual for learning and support students, who thoroughly enjoys working in a mainstream secondary education setting to meet the needs of all my students but also as a private tutor and mentor of students.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for a few years now alongside working in a local secondary school, I have experience in teaching KS3 all three sciences, KS4 all three sciences and A-Level Biology. Throughout my experience as a teacher/tutor I have developed a wealth of knowledge and skills to adapt to students needs, albeit understanding the basics to the challenging concepts. I also run small intervention groups to support students on foundation/higher papers and wanting to achieve and help them secure a deeper understanding to support their GCSE grades improving.

Tutoring Approach

During my tutor sessions I work 1-2-1 with individuals, I am guided by students and their needs from key concepts, to accessing questions and scientific equations. My approach is based solely on the needs of the student developing exam technique skills, key content, developing revision techniques and more.
