I am in my 3rd year studying French and Spanish at New College Oxford, graduating in 2024. I am a passionate oarsman, and have spent the past two years training with Oxford University's Blue Boat squad.
I graduated from one of the most selective colleges in the United Kingdom- Radley College. In my A levels in French, Spanish & English I scored 3A*.
I was Deputy Head Boy, an academic scholar, and won gold representing Great Britain in the European Junior Rowing Championships, so I can provide extensive advice on how to not only balance, but excel in all your scholastic pursuits. I can share with you some of the life changing tips and advice I learnt from some of the best and most qualified teachers in the world, all of whom attended Oxford or Cambridge.
I have worked as a tutor for 4 years, with students ageing from 10-17. I was one of the only non-university level tutors at LearnMate, Australia's top tutoring agency, whist living in Melbourne. I have taught French, Spanish and English up to AS Level. I also have four months experience working as a sports coach with cognitively impaired children.
I speak, write and read French and Spanish fluently at a C1 level, and can help you reach the same level- nailing your exams in the process! If followed correctly, my programme can help you learn to speak, read and write French and Spanish with ease- all with perfect grammar, accuracy and a native accent! I have extensive notes, tips and tricks on how to gain the same level of fluency and exam results that I did, which I will happily share with you.
English students, I can offer you a similar litany of resources and advice. Again, being taught by the best and brightest teachers has left me with a huge bank of notes, tips and tricks on how to ace your exams. From Dracula to Hamlet, I have a huge bank of top grade analysis, notes and essays, all of which I can give to you.
I’m always available by phone and email, and am trying to improve how I teach, and help others.
I bring three tenants to my tutoring: proficiency, engagement, and dedication. Firstly, students are confident that I know every bit of the material, which is really important in giving them the confidence to ask questions and understand new ideas. Secondly, I constantly engage with my students. I ask them questions, present ideas in relevant examples, and encourage them to problem-solve in detail. Thirdly, I am committed to seeing tangible improvement from my students. That means I'll spend time and patience in communicating critical concepts, whether that means nailing down ideas within lessons, scouting out useful reading, or running overtime, to make sure my students fully learn.
