James is an absolutely fantastic tutor. Over the last 6 months he has tutored me to a very high standard and has helped me to improve my grade by at least a boundary. The most impressive aspect of James' tutoring is his ability to adapt to the task on hand; he helped me tremendously with my English literature studies on books such as 'The Crucible' and 'Of mice and men'. Overall James is an outstanding tutor whom I would highly recommend for anyone striving to improve in English.

James is an excellent tutor. He is not only knowledgeable, but he is willing to go out of his way to help. He is well prepared for each session (not just waiting to see what the student will bring) and gives advice and work that goes beyond the syllabus so that my daughter has a real understanding of what is going on. He is also very personable and easy to talk to and work with. You can't go wrong with James!

James has been of great help creating order to what had been come a very difficult educational situation. He was able to give focus and direction and at relatively short notice hit the ground running. His manner and the way he built a working relationship with my daughter meant she was ready and able to sit her A level English something we weren’t sure could be achieved. As a person I found James friendly and easy to work with he was always willing to do the extra bit to prepare or mark work.

James quickly assessed both my daughters requirements and was able to target the areas that needed most help. There are already signs that they have improved and are definitely more confident going into exam week. He has a nice positive manner which is encouraging and my daughters tell me he 'knows his stuff'.
