James's Feedback

I'd highly recommend James to any student needing help with their English course. Within my first two lessons, I've been given feedback to help me understand and improve my current essay's and now have a far better understanding of Scot's Poetry. His lessons are engaging and he takes the time to explain techniques in a clear and understandable way. I now feel far more comfortable studying the subject and able to achieve an A.

Excellent tutoring skills.
My child was struggling in National 5. Few months of tutoring pre pandemic and she scored really well in all assessments and raised here level to B.
Even without any more tutoring since then, she is getting A in her higher assessments.

I had James to tutor my son on his English and my son likes him. He knows how to communicate and engage with my son and he has improved a lot. James is very knowledgeble on the subject and I would highly recommend him! I'm going to give him 6 out of 5 stars!

James has been excellent with my daughter, helping her to understand what is required at National 5 and coaching her to believe that she can do it. James's enthusiasm for literature is contagious and he us able to approach a topic from numerous different angles.

James has inspired our son and has lead him to think about texts and they have now captured his imagination and James has also got him really thinking about how to interpret and answer the exam questions. He is polite, timely and reliable.

Great lessons bringing a new slant on learning English for exams .

Lauren is really enjoying her tutor sessions with James. He's reliable, hard working and has a good understanding of how teenagers feel in the run up to the exams.

James is a great tutor. My son has just sat his N5 exam and hopefully passed with good marks. James has helped to develop a deeper understanding of the exam structure and its requirements. He explains the material in an easy to understand way which provided a lot of confidence to face the exam.

Jamie has been a great support for my daughter approaching her English higher exam. He was willing to travel to different locations as suited her schedule, and to organise extra sessions at short notice. He is very dedicated, and is both able to reassure and instil enthusiasm in his tutees. My daughter would also like to add: I found Jamie to be an incredibly helpful and approachable tutor. When I didn’t understand something he was very patient and clear in his explanation, and my appreciation for the texts grew as I worked with him. I think that even someone who struggles with English would gain a better understanding from receiving tutoring from Jamie, and I greatly enjoyed my time with him.
