Currently, I am a Headteacher of an academically successful Day and Boarding independent school. I also continue to teach History and Politics to KS2-KS5, alongside evening and weekend tutoring. Alongside teaching, I am experienced in UCAS, EPQ and Oxbridge. I am passionate about history, politics, current affairs and working in education.

Tutoring Experience

Having been a middle and senior leader in three UK secondary schools, both academies and independent schools, before becoming a Headteacher in a fourth school, I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds. In all cases, I have delivered outstanding learning experiences and enabled students to achieve their full potential and attain excellent grades. As a senior leader, I have been responsible for whole school learning and teaching through the management of staff and providing staff development.

Tutoring Approach

Tutoring should be an enjoyable experience in which I facilitate your progress and achievement in the appropriate subject. Tutorials are based around discussion, debate, subject knowledge and activities. I will endeavour to make the sessions interesting and informative but I do also expect you to get involved.
