Hi, I’m Jamie, a passionate and supportive private tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students unlock their potential. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can thrive. I’m friendly, reliable, and always aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing from them. My goal is to inspire confidence and curiosity—not just better grades.
I’ve been tutoring for 2 years and teaching for 3, working with students from GCSE to A-Level, in both Language and Literature. I’ve supported students preparing for exams, catching up on missed content, or looking to deepen their understanding beyond the classroom. My experience includes both one-on-one and small group sessions, and I’ve adapted to various learning needs, including EAL and SEND.
My tutoring style is calm, structured, and adaptable. I start by understanding where each student is at, identifying gaps in knowledge or confidence, and then building a clear, step-by-step plan to move forward. Lessons are tailored to suit the individual—whether that means using visual aids, practice questions, or real-world examples to bring a topic to life. I aim to make learning engaging and stress-free, while equipping students with the skills and strategies they need to become more independent learners over time.
