I am a fully qualified and very experienced primary school teacher. I love working with children and aim to make my sessions fun and enjoyable as well as educational. My aim is to help the children I teach, enjoy their learning and to build their confidence in themselves as learners.
I have over 35 years of experience in primary education, teaching throughout Key Stage 2. I have worked in schools, as a local authority adviser and initial teacher trainer as well as a 1:1 and small group tutor. I run online group teaching sessions in creative writing and maths as well as working with home educated and school educated pupils from ages 7 - 13.
I believe that to succeed in education, children need to see themselves as successful learners and enjoy the process of learning. Too often today, our education system sets the bar so high that children lose confidence in themselves and lose their enjoyment of learning. I aim to help children succeed and see themselves as learners, able to approach new challenges with a 'can do' attitude to prepare them for the next phase of their education.
