I recently had the pleasure of working with Jane as my English tutor, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. Jane possesses a deep knowledge of the English language and an impressive ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
Thanks to her guidance I feel much more prepared for my upcoming exams.

We would highly recommend Jane as a tutor. Our daughter had always been good at English but for some reason her grades had slipped considerably at the end of secondary school to a point where she was attaining grades 5/6 with predicted grade 7. She enjoyed her lessons with Jane and her interest/confidence in the subject was re-invigorated. She has just attained a grade 9 in English Language and a grade 8 in English Literature and we all feel that this was entirely due to Jane's help and support.

Jane is a wonderful teacher and she has in-depth knowledge about her subject area. My son got immense help from JAne for his GCSE exam. Jane had a great ability to explain the facts with patience. My son scored 9 & 8 for his 2 English papers in GCSE. Before Jane, he was worried, but Jane helped him to be confident with English. We are thankful to her. I wish her all the best for your future endeavours.

Jane is a very experienced and responsible tutor. Every session is well prepared. My son really enjoys the her lessons and finds her lessons very helpful.

First time my daughter has a tutor!! we have found Jane to be always on time for the sessions and equipped with a lesson plan.

After missing a lot of school this year my son really needed a tutor to re-engage him on his GCSE English studies in plenty of time before his exams this summer, and I was delighted to come across Jane via First Tutors. She has done exactly what I wanted and got my son back on track with his studies, given him much needed confidence, and helped him prepare for his controlled assessments. Highly recommended!

Jane is an absolutely excellent tutor, she was a tremendous support to my daughter and as a result of her patience and her clear instruction of what an examiner is looking for in an answer she dramatically improved her english GCSE grades.

Jane has helped my daughter understand what is required for English GCSE better. I am yet to see this reflected in my daughter's grades and a bit more of a sense of urgency from Jane in helping my daughter achieve her predicted A grade e.g. like leaving her homework each week.

My daughter found Jane very approachable and thorough with regard to the work they covered in their sessions. Jane's particular interest and enjoyment for the poetry element of the course definately enhanced her own understanding of this area of the course.

The sessions with George are providing him with ideas and assisting him to put this thought on paper ; he is postive about the sessions and acknowleges the benefits . We have seen from his school work that he is already starting to implement the ideas and concepts taught .

We have been very pleased with Jane. She is organised,reliable, efficient,very approachable and always friendly. My daughter enjoys her lessons and is finding them increasingly valuable in supporting her school work and building her confidence.
