I have a First Class Honours in a Master's degree in Computer Science, obtained from the University of Southampton. I'm currently working as a software engineer for a Fintech company. The subjects I undertook for GCSE include Maths, English, Science, Additional Science, Further Additional Science, French, Computer Science, and Geography. The subjects I undertook for A-Level include Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and French. I'm passionate about teaching as I enjoy sharing what I know with other people and helping them understand things they may find difficult.

Tutoring Experience

I have previously tutored students that needed help with Maths and Computer Science at primary school and GCSE level. Furthermore, I have mentored students at my grammar school that needed help in GCSE French and A Level Physics. At present, I am teaching GCSE Computing to a student - the exam board I am teaching is OCR so I am most familiar with their specification.

Tutoring Approach

I tend to break the session into sections; in one section I will go through the material, in another section, I will ask the student about anything that they found difficult to understand and revise that with them, and in the final section I will ask them questions on the material. I can also provide the student with homework if they wish to go through more questions on the material to test their understanding. For students studying for exams such as GCSE, I can go through exam questions with them.
