I completed a Masters degree in Geophysics from the University of Leeds in 2006 (Geophysics largely comprises of Maths and Physics). Following this, I worked in the oil industry followed by a career in banking.

Tutoring Experience

I have previous tutoring experience and have also carried out a large amount of mentoring of new employees for the teams I have worked with all through my career.

Tutoring Approach

My preferred approach is to focus directly where the specific help is required and being led by the student. I would establish if the underlying issue is with confidence in answering the questions or whether help with general understanding is required. This would ideally be coupled with reviewing and reworking past exam papers to test the student’s knowledge.
