I am a recent STEM university graduate (BSc Hons) covering modules such as analytical chemistry, biology, and toxicology. I am studying for a Masters in environmental sciences and natural resources. I have A levels in Biology, Geography and English literature all grades A*-C and all GCSE's A*-C. I am also proficient in maths and chemistry through use of these in my studies. I have availability either in person or online weekdays and weekends and I hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate.
Over the last 3 years, I have worked as STEM summer camp leader, leading groups of 20+ children in STEM based activities, including activities such as earthquake simulation and coding. I have worked sporadically as a nanny for the last 2 years, working with children between the ages of 4-8 assisting with homework as well as household duties. I have experience as a teaching assistant, gaining further knowledge in a classroom environment and getting to know the expectations and syllabus of the school curriculum. I worked with 1-1 SEN sessions, aiding with general learning such as reading and phonics. I have experience working as a mentor in secondary classrooms, for students aged 12-16.
Taking an individualistic approach to learning and creating engaging ways to practice curriculum content, through games, quizzes and practicals. Enhancing further subject knowledge and practicing exam style questions.
