I am an extensively qualified ex head of science with over 28 years of experience teaching children at all key stages and ability levels. I have an Honours degree in Biology and a PGCE in Secondary Science and I teach GCSE Science at foundation and higher level. I also specialise in teaching Triple Award GCSE Biology.
I am a full time science teacher with 28 years of experience of teaching all 3 sciences at all key stages. I have prepared students for every exam board at GCSE level and am able to adapt my lessons for all ability levels and needs.
Many children seek tutoring as they lack confidence in the subject. Through my friendly and encouraging approach, I can build their confidence and show them that they have the ability to achieve and even surpass their goals. I personalise my delivery to meet the wide range of needs of individual learners and make difficult concepts easy to understand.
At GCSE level, I can show learners techniques they can use to approach exam questions and gain maximum marks. I can show them how to apply their scientific knowledge and practice the skills they need to succeed in the mathematical and practical components of the papers.
At KS2 and 3, gaps in learning can be identified and a plan put in place to achieve maximum progress whilst making science fun to learn.
