I have over fifteen years of teaching experience in both the state and private sector. I am dedicated to supporting children in all aspects of their learning.
I have a 2.1 Honours Degree in History and a Diploma in Management Studies.
Prior to my work in the education sector, I worked for a large bank both as Branch Manager and a Management Development Specialist. This helped me to develop skills that I have transferred to my teaching.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing tennis and cycling.
I have worked with children of all abilities and educational needs in every year group from Nursery to Year 6 at primary school, mainly in KS2.
I have developed an extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum, regularly attending courses to enrich my knowledge and experience.
Working with children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups on literacy and numeracy is particularly rewarding.
I have also worked as a tutor at secondary school level for five years helping pupils with History, English and Geography at GCSE and A level.
My tuition approach is meticulously organised, flexible and engaging.
One-to-one tutoring is an ideal way to boost a pupil’s confidence, and helps them to develop tools for the classroom and an examination environment.
Tutoring takes place online and lessons are tailored to each pupil, who are enabled to work at their own pace.
Comprehensive and regular feedback is provided on your child’s progress.
