I am an enthusiastic teacher who has a passion for History. I am a practicing teacher of History and Citizenship, who wants to help students achieve their maximum potential.

Tutoring Experience

I am a teacher at a secondary school and currently teach History to two A Level classes, 8 GCSE classes and several KS3 classes. I have 4 years experience of teaching GCSE & A Level and have also taught GCSE Citizenship for 2 years, all with excellent results. I have experience teaching several exam boards, including but not limited to, Edexcel, AQA, OCR & the IGCSE.

Tutoring Approach

I strongly believe that the most effective teaching should be student led. I am not there to tell the students the answers, my role is to equip them with the skills necessary to learn and interpret the information themselves and to create a passion for life long learning. I strive to challenge more able students to achieve their maximum potential and scaffold learning for those who might struggle. I like to take a fun approach to learning and wholeheartedly believe that if a student enjoys what they are learning, they will not only strive for excellent, but will never forget it!
