I pride myself in tailoring lessons to the interests of the child to ensure they gain the most out of their sessions. I make learning fun and engaging and ensure the child feels at ease.
I previously taught full time in both KS1 and KS2 for 5 years, however I now work teaching children who are not in mainstream education on a 1:1 basis. However I really enjoy primary tutoring in my spare time.
I have experience of tutoring SEN children, using a range of different strategies and approaches to engage them in various aspects of the primary curriculum.
I assess children on an individual basis, discussing with them what they would like help with whilst also discussing needs with parents. I will then work out how to best move forward and what style of support is most appropriate.
