John was so lovely, our son Henry was a bit nervous before his first lesson, not anymore John was as kind and patient. Henry said the lesson went quickly and that he was looking forward to next one. Thanks John.

Thanks so much Katy. It was lovely working with Henry, who had fantastic ideas and we both enjoyed reading, writing and sharing ideas. I'm pleased he enjoyed the lesson. Developing confidence is such a big thing. I'm really looking forward to our tutoring work together.

My 8 year old had Maths sessions with John over the summer. John was so patient and used appropriate strategies to help my son understand tasks. Sessions were interesting and informal and my son always seemed to enjoy going. I think the sessions will give him a boost in confidence going into year 4 this year. Highly recommended. Thanks John

I am very pleased he has enjoyed the maths lessons. He has worked so well and had a fantastic attitude, which really helped him progress. I am sure he will continue to do well in year 4 and have the confidence to have a go at anything he does.

My 7 year old son was reluctant to have a tutor to help with his writing , spelling and literacy. Now he has had a few sessions he can’t wait for the next one and really enjoys them which is half the battle. His writing is definitely improving already. John is very knowledgeable and my son is lucky to have him as his tutor.

John is currently helping my daughter with maths. He's very approachable and my daughter is comfortable with him. He's helping to build her confidence up with maths and makes the work easy for her to understand. John keeps you updated, always on time and I would definitely recommend him to others.

John has been tutoring my son for about 2 months now and it’s the best decision we made. Josh has improved in every aspect within his English already with his confidence growing weekly in school too. The dedication and time John puts in every week is fantastic, he listens to what is concerning Josh and even if it’s not in the plans for that weeks tutoring time is found to go through and discuss anything that’s worrying him or anything he’s struggled with within the week. The lessons are fun but very informative and even tho Josh doesn’t love school he looks forward every week for his tutoring sessions. Thanks John

John has undertaken some really thorough maths sessions with my son on the run up to his Key Stage 2 SATS exams. John used a variety of methods to identify areas needing more support and how to improve knowledge and skills in these areas. At the end of each session John provided me with a summary of work covered, and details of what work they would do in the next session. These sessions gave my son the confidence to tackle all elements of the maths curriculum, resulting in a good pass mark in the exams. My son has asked to continue with his maths sessions with John to assist him in the transition into KS3 work, he enjoys the work and the instant feedback on how to tackle problems in a different way. We would happily refer friends to John for additional support for their children.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments Sandra. It has been a pleasure to tutor Ben this year. I have been extremely impressed with his hardworking, conscientious attitude and his desire to impress in his SATS. I can see how he has really grown in confidence and I'm happy that he is able to tackle problems better than before. He really deserves the good results he achieved because he has worked hard. I'm sure Ben will do very well in year 7 because he has a fantastic attitude. His achievements this year outside of the curriculum, especially with football, are to be commended too. Well done Ben.
