Hello! I am a final year PhD researcher in theoretical Physics specialising in studying Dark Matter. I have a deep love for Physics and Mathematics that extends to my teaching and enjoy nothing more than talking about these subjects and to nurture that same interest in my students. As an active theoretical Physics researcher, my knowledge of Physics and Maths is strong across the board making me an excellent teacher when paired with my strong communication skills.
I have a broad range of experience teaching at all levels, specialising in GCSE, A-level and University level.
As part of my PhD I have gained hundreds of hours experience teaching classes of university level Physics students as well as supporting them one-on-one.
My experience in academia has been invaluable to help connect students with the subject beyond the syllabus material. This in turn nurtures their interest encouraging a love of learning.
My main teaching philosophy is to adapt to every student. I encourage a free-flowing dialogue about the material to encourage students to find their own questions and answers, guiding and supporting them every step of the way.
Often the most interesting topics in Physics and Maths are found by asking questions outside the scope of the material. I find connecting a student's natural curiosity back to their syllabus boosts their ability to learn and enthusiasm for the subject many times over.
