With a Ph.D in the biological sciences and extensive and diverse experience of scientific research and applied science, I have an in depth understanding of science in general and the biological sciences in particular. This is particularly useful in helping students learn the skills needed for answering questions on the interpretation of scientific data, which are becoming increasingly important in exams.

Tutoring Experience

I have more than five years experience of tutoring A-level Biology, with satisfied customers benefiting from my tuition for as long as an academic year, and going on to achieve their goals such as entering medical school. I am also a qualified teacher with experience of teaching A-level Biology in a school environment. I have worked as an examiner for A level Biology.

Tutoring Approach

The approach used is to help students understand the principles of science so that they are ready and confident to answer all exam questions, including those that present new information for students to interpret. Once the content has been mastered, extensive use is made of past questions, to instil confidence in the student.
