I am a recent Geography graduate from the University of Cambridge where I graduated with a first class degree and the William Vaughan Lewis Dissertation Prize.
I enjoy working with students to unlock their potential. I specialise in teaching essay writing, encompassing the entire process from conception and research through to execution and editing including under time pressure.
I grew up in Hong Kong where I studied the International Baccalaureate (IB) and attained 44/45 points including 776 at Higher Level Geography, Physics, and History.
I achieved a score of 95% at IB French and received the English School Foundation Chairman's Award for Excellence. I am passionate about imparting this knowledge of French and examination technique onto other students!
My studies at the University of Cambridge involved writing 2-3 essays per week to be reviewed and critiqued by world-leading academics. I have taken these techniques on-board and utilised them in my tutoring. I also offer Oxbridge admissions tutoring for Geography including mock-interviews with a 75% success ratio.
I like to take a brief portion of the initial session to understand student's needs and what I can do to best support them and then design a tailored program to meet their needs. I can support students through everything from developing revision strategies, learning essay writing skills, and examination technique.
I am used to working with neurodivergent individuals and understand the importance of tailoring education to meet individual's needs.
