My approach to tutoring is efficient, professional, but also enjoyable. As the student gains more confidence I will push them further, ensuring that they are never left in limbo where their ability and knowledge do not advance. Every session with me will end with the student having gained some new knowledge, and, hopefully, a greater interest in the subject.
Having attained the highest grades at all academic stages, including a Masters degree from The University of Oxford, I know what is needed to achieve the best marks. I have worked for over a decade as a professional tutor, and so have a wealth of knowledge to share that can help any student achieve their targets.
I am extremely familiar with every text and subject on each syllabus, and have taught them for several years at different levels. This includes KS3, the current 1-9 GCSEs, A-level, Degree Level and in the case of English and film, Masters level.
Thank you for looking at this page, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Cancellations: Cancellations on the day of the lesson, unless rearranged, are charged at the full lesson price.
As well my extensive academic experience, I have spent 13 years tutoring all manner of students, each with different requirements (including special educational needs such as dyslexia). In turn, I have helped all of my students meet their predicted grade and very often surpass it. Finally, as someone who has performed the role of an examiner, I know precisely what is needed to achieve every possible mark - this is something I endeavour to instil in all my students.
My approach to tutoring is a combination fun approachability, but with enough of a challenge to provide a service that is rewarding for a student. Dealing with topics such as poetry and Shakespeare can be frustrating, so I aim to make these works as approachable as possible. I move at a good pace, pushing a child when they need, or slowing down if things are moving too quickly. Each lesson is catered for the student and so they'll receive the precise help they require.
