Hi I'm Joseph (Joey),
I am a PhD student studying robotics and when I'm not teaching robots how to walk I enjoy teaching maths instead!
Having struggled with maths myself throughout secondary school yet now being able to regularly tackle complex and intimidating mathematical challenges, I not only know first-hand the challenges students face when learning difficult concepts and theories but also how to overcome them.
I work with students at all stages of their learning and adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable teaching experience through delivering university-level workshops on mechanics, coding, and algorithms, as well as one-on-one tutoring at GCSE and University level. This broad experience allows me to teach students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
My approach to tutoring is patient, methodical, and personalised, ensuring that every student not only masters the material but also gains the confidence to succeed in their GCSE or university exams. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic or looking to consolidate your understanding, I’m here to help.
As someone with dyslexia, I’m also particularly passionate about helping students who face similar challenges achieve their potential. I believe that with the right strategies and mindset, dyslexia can be a strength rather than a limitation, and I’m dedicated to finding the methods that work best for each student.
