Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years of experience working in education as a Head of Maths, Teacher Trainer, Educational Consultant, and international Lead Educator. My students become successful and confident mathematicians, often exceeding their own expectations.

Tutoring Approach

I am at heart, a reflective educator, and I am always getting better. My teaching is informed by educational theory and I know exactly what I am doing, how to do it, and why I should.

My lessons are bespoke and tailored to the student, everything is prepared so that every minute of our lessons provides value. I have spent years refining the way I explain topics and the best questioning practices. My questions don't just move my students forward but also provide me with a constant diagnostic stream of information. With my knowledge of the curriculum and exam expectations, I can react to the pace and needs of my students in the moment.
Appropriate challenge is a skill that a lot of educators can really struggle with. In my sessions, students work hard and will always feel productive. I am often told that my sessions are really enjoyable. Hard work when combined with genuine opportunity for success feels good. To provide true and lasting progress, I provide the correct pace, content and challenge.
