I currently teach as an English teacher and Lead Practitioner in a secondary school in Watford.
I really enjoy teaching, encouraging students to develop a love of literature and helping students to realise their potential.
I have recently reactivated my account and now have availability for a new student from mid June - please message me if you’d like to discuss this further.
I have been teaching for 9 years, teaching students from Year 7 up to Year 13.
Prior to teaching, I was responsible for training, coaching and developing adult literacy in a contact centre.
My approach is primarily one of nurture and support, adapted to my students to help them develop confidence and increase academic achievement. I create and share resources for each session, tailoring my delivery to my student and assessing students’ written work.
My approach is flexible; dealing with students who are struggling with English or stretching students who are gifted and talented.
I tutor on a 1:1 basis and prefer to deliver hour long sessions. I am happy to deliver longer sessions over the school holidays, if required.
I live in Chesham and work in Watford, so can travel to students within a wider area. Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss this.
Please be aware that lessons that take place after 6pm or at weekends will now have an additional £5 out of hours fee.
