Julie is an excellent English tutor and even over the course of a few short weeks my 16 year old son has started to grow in confidence with his English Language work. Julie is extremely patient; very warm and encouraging and never critical; always finding the positive no matter how challenging this may be at times.

Julie really helped Lucy gain confidence in her English prior to her GCSE exam this summer. Lucy learnt a lot from her sessions and the 1:1 was much more beneficial than her classes at college. Julie was really good with Lucy and understood her needs well and worked to improve and give Lucy the confidence she needed. We would definitely recommend Julie if you are thinking of 1:1 sessions - she was fantastic!

Saw Julie this evening, my son said he had learnt more in one hour than he had made all year.
Julie makes you feel welcome, takes time to listen and speaks in a level my son understands, made positive comments and my son wants to go back again.

Julie is an excellent teacher, passionate about her subject and keen to engage her pupils from the start. She has taught my daughter more in her first few sessions than in weeks of group teaching with another tutor. She is friendly and kind, but keeps her on track and concentrating hard. My son Will has been to Julie for a few sessions now, and he has grown in confidence with his understanding of the texts he is learning for GCSE. The sessions have been quite long 1.5 - 2 hours long (our choice) and not only has he coped well with concentrating for that long, he says he has enjoyed them too!
