Hi! My name is Karina, I am originally Indian but born and brought up in the Canary Island, Spain. I am very passionate about sciences and love sharing that passion with students. Apart from that, in my spare time I love reading, practicing sports and travelling!

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring 1-2-1, in bootcamps and through online content creation for over 4 years now. I work best with students aged between 15-20 years old. I have tutored Maths, Physics and Spanish for GCSEs, A-Level's, International Baccalaureate and Spanish Baccalaureate. I am also familiar with the different exam boards, mostly with Edexcel, AQA and OCR.

Tutoring Approach

I am very passionate about the subjects I teach; therefore, I try to make the lessons as fun as possible. I find that students perform better when they enjoy what they are doing. Through my years of tutoring, I have also noticed that students tend to get intimidated by certain subjects such as maths and physics. I try to create a comfortable space where they are not afraid of getting the wrong answer, as we are here to learn. I also try to give practical/real-life examples as those tend to help them understand the subjects a lot better. Lastly, as every student is different, I use the first lessons to understand how they learn best and then tailor the classes to their capabilities. I also use active recall as a method for them to retain information longer (this has worked really well).
