I have always believed that maths isn’t a spectator sport. Getting your hands dirty is the most effective - and often the only - way to improve as a mathematician. I have used this philosophy to receive an offer to read mathematics at Cambridge University, attain A*, A*, A*, A in my Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science A-levels respectively, and achieve eight grade 9s at GCSE. Having sat these exams in 2024 and 2022, I am also uniquely positioned to offer impactful and relevant guidance.
I am lucky enough to have a younger sister, and it was through guiding her to a grade 9 in GCSE maths that I found my passion for tutoring. Since then, I have volunteered at maths clubs, and privately tutored multiple students to 2-grade improvements in their examinations!
As you can imagine, my lessons revolve around solving problems and learning through experience. This approach allows students to effectively transfer their knowledge through to their examinations, and provides those Eureka! moments that make mathematics so rewarding. A typical lesson will start with some interesting puzzles, followed by brief theory, and then exam-style questions until the topic becomes second nature!
I am well suited to offer tutoring for all exam-boards(OCR, AQA , Edexcel etc..) for GCSE Maths and Physics, and for A-level Maths and Further Maths. I can also help students with their all-important university applications.
