I am a fully qualified teacher who has taught for over 20 years, and a graduate in English from Cambridge university. My observations have consistently graded me an outstanding teacher.

Tutoring Experience

I have many years of experience teaching English in a highly selective grammar school where I lead the English department. I also have extensive tutoring experience on a one-to-one basis and have worked with all of the exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

I am experienced at providing an academically rigorous approach to English along with essay structures that students can easily access and use themselves. I try to make English interesting and engaging but maintain high standards for the pupils. I have been a SENCo and am experienced at assisting those with additional needs. I have a long record of excellent results both with tutoring and in the classroom.
