I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher specialising in children aged from 3 to 7 in all subjects. Throughout my teaching career including tutoring, the children I have taught have made excellent progress and my lessons have been described as stimulating. To ensure this, within my teaching I use a variety of different teaching styles such as games, learning videos and repetition to engage children, making lessons fun and catering for the needs of different learners. I form strong relationships with children quickly, which enables their progress to flourish. I plan individual lessons and prepare materials to use throughout the tutorial session to ensure maximum progress. It’s important to me that your child feels comfortable and enjoys our sessions. A parent of a child with behavioural difficulties wrote me a letter which said “we will forever remember you and what a blessing you were to our son.”
I have 5 years experience, working in primary schools, including outstanding Reception units (graded by Ofsted) and have been doing one-to-one tutoring for 3 years. I have extensive knowledge of the early years curriculum. I am very good at teaching children their sounds and how to read and write. I consistently enable children to make a large amount of progress in a short space of time. I am patient and work to develop children's confidence. I can also help teach your child key mathematical skills such as counting, adding, taking-away etc. I really enjoy what I do and I look forward to helping your child.
I believe it's important to develop confidence in children and that they should enjoy learning. Your children will have a lovely time with me as well as making lots of progress!
