Kathy's Feedback

In short time frame we have seen a marked improvement in the feedback from school and test results for our son. With Kathy's help we are confident our son will get a good grade in his IB German.

I enjoy the well-defined structure of Kathy's lessons. Kathy has increased my confidence in myself about my German A-Level studies, through provision of an extensive bank of vocabulary and resources each lesson. Whenever I ask Kathy for support on a very specific grammar point that I am struggling with, for example, I get really sound advice. Kathy is extremely approachable and communicative, both within lessons and outside lessons (via email) and ensures that the lessons are tailored to my own needs and queries. I would highly recommend Kathy for support in A-Level German.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your work with Owen over the last couple of months. I know Owen went in to his German exam today in a much more comfortable position than had he not had the his time with you. I will of course keep you updated on his results in August but regardless, you have done a wonderful job with Owen. I hope that he will take from this that with the right support and some effort you can turn things around.

Kathy has been an excellent German tutor for my daughter. We only started with Kathy three months ago and the improvements have been significant. I find that My daughter is more confident in German speaking and writing. The proof of this is that my daughter achieved an 8 in her recently concluded gcse mocks. I am very pleased with her style of teaching and have no hesitation in recommending Kathy.

Kathy is extremely pleasant, enthusiastic and well-organised. James immediately felt at ease and was amazed at how much ground he covered in just his first lesson. The email sent immediately after the lesson showing what was covered and what needs to be worked on is extremely useful. James looks forward very much to working with Kathy over the coming year to refine his German speaking and writing skills, in particular.

My 15 year old son found Kathy very easy to talk to and thought the help she gave him very beneficial. Kathy also replied to all my emails very promptly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone’s child who is taking GCSEs.

My son who is due to start in year 8 has had 3 hour long sessions with Kathy so far. He has found them extremely beneficial and says each one has been like 10 normal German lessons in school and that he has gained so much. Kathy has been extremely professional and organised from the initial arranging of the sessions to the follow up emails containing the material covered and any homework. I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone who wishes to progress in learning German.

Having disliked studying languages at school I was apprehensive about learning German for a forthcoming job move. However, I needn't have worried; Kathy is keen for you to start speaking the language as soon as possible, developing the use of grammar as you progress. She is supportive but encourages you to be self reliant and I've learnt so much already. She is also very good company which is an added bonus. I can't recommend her highly enough.
